What You'll Do:
The Agency Relations Associate will be a member of the Agency Relations team and be primarily responsible for managing a combination of pantry service programs and supporting the needs of our diverse agency network. This includes and is not limited to the day-to-day operations of our Mobile Pantry Program, Holocaust Home Delivery program, internal/external logistics, and compliance.
- Oversee Mobile Pantry & Holocaust Home Delivery operations, staffing, and logistics. This will include some field work.
- Further developing our Mobile Pantry Program, managing distributions and building strong working relationships with partner sites. Representing Met Council when on location or engaging with key stakeholders.
- Working with the team at Met Council’s food warehouse to ensure the availability of food, packing and/coordination of the programmatic components, and all relevant staffing/volunteer components. Liaising with social service teams.
- Facilitating the home delivery program for vulnerable holocaust survivors by coordinating with delivery service, tracking information, and supporting re-deliveries and reporting.
- Tracking, reconciling, and reporting relevant metrics.
- Coordinating logistics with the warehouse team, delivery partners, and social service teams.
- Support the development and maintenance of our agency network.
- Managing communication and relationships with our partner network.
- Conducting agency compliance and food safety visits.
- Maintaining network data and coordinating monthly data collection.
- Create materials and tools to support the agency network.
- Other responsibilities as required.

- Clear written and oral communicator who can speak to various internal and external stakeholders and be mindful of cultural and religious norms based on the audience
- Demonstrated ability to manage and track multiple elements of a program, including but not only using spreadsheets to track participation
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with other individuals and organizations and operate with high a degree of professionalism, interacting with clients and staff in a friendly and conscious manner
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interest of the agency
- Commitment to growing and developing professional skills
- Strong technical skills and an ability to problem solve
- Knowledge of Kashrut Law and knowledge of Jewish cultural norms, a plus
We'd Like You to Have:
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience (preferably in the area of human services)
- Experience with public presentations and operating with a high level of professionalism (required)
- Experience forging and building relationships with community and government leaders (required)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite(required)
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the five boroughs using public transportation.
- Ability to move around and about the warehouse.
- Completion of food safety courses: NYC Department of Health Certificate in Food Protection, NYC Department of Health Food Protection Course for Special Food Programs, ServSafe Certification.
