Our services include 100% affordable housing at 21 locations, family violence services, Holocaust survivor assistance, geriatric social work, crisis intervention and the largest free kosher food distribution program in the world. Our network of 101 food pantries, affordable housing sites, and affiliated JCCs provide services directly in neighborhoods across New York City.

Position Summary:

The Director of Family Violence Services oversees the operations, management, and growth of the Family Violence Services Program, while also playing a key role in fundraising efforts. The program serves diverse clientele of survivors of intimate partner violence and sex trafficking throughout New York City. While Met Council serves all victims in need, the agency specializes in supporting clients from insular and Jewish communities. The director is responsible for the supervision and leadership of the program and its team of social workers and case workers, guiding its growth to meet the increased demand for services. This position also advises leadership on social policy matters related to family violence and is the primary point of contact for the agency in serving as an advocate for the needs of these communities. Additionally, the director acts as the primary liaison between the program and the development team.

Compensation: $90,000 to $105,000 per year.
