Our network of 101 food pantries, affordable housing sites, and affiliated JCCs provide services directly in neighborhoods across New York City.
Position Summary:
Met Council has made significant investments in the technology that supports programmatic departments and clients. Market by Met Council is the Food Program’s custom-built, Salesforce-based ERP which includes our IMS, WMS, CRM systems and supports our B2C ordering platform. We are seeking an ERP Administrator to steward day-to-day demands and support its ongoing development. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about building technology that serves people.
Principal Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, audit, and document processes for the Market by Met Council ERP
Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize functionality, reports, dashboards, and UX/UI improvements
Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and end-user support — training on data entry, access, and system navigation, and resolving day-to-day issues with a service-first, customer-care approach
Troubleshoot with Salesforce as needed and manage/communicate changes from seasonal Salesforce updates
Configure and maintain user profiles, access, and security protocols
Track recurring support issues to inform training materials, documentation, and system improvements
Help align system activities with physical warehouse operations and daily maintenance processes
Scope and manage larger system projects as needed (e.g., new APIs)
Support systems alignment and issue resolution across our B2B and B2C platforms, including the client-facing ordering experience
Competencies:
Self-starter who is curious, proactive, and enjoys learning new tools and processes
Strong problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
Ability to prioritize and manage competing deliverables across support requests and projects
Ability to translate operational and warehouse workflows into system requirements
Strong communication and training skills, with a customer service orientation for staff of all technical levels
Detail-oriented, with strong data governance and documentation habits
Familiarity with food banking or emergency food service a plus; genuine interest in learning about the industry required
Skill and Education:
2–4 years of Salesforce Administration experience; Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) certification required
Experience configuring custom objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, Flow, and other declarative automation tools
Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and Tableau; familiarity with Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components a plus
Experience managing user security (profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules), integrations/APIs, and reporting/dashboards
Help desk or end-user support experience, and comfort supporting both B2B and B2C platforms a plus
Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience); nonprofit or food/logistics background a plus
Special Requirements:
Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
